Golf Champions

Last weekend we headed up to Pocatello, Idaho so Tyson could play in a golf tournament with my Dad. My sister, her husband Shane and their new baby Cole were also there for the same reason. It was so much fun to have the boys off playing golf so the girls could oogle over the baby and relax together. My parents have a beautiful house on the golf course, so while the boys golfed, the girls sat on the back deck critiquing golfers that played through. The whole weekend was so much fun. Tyson and my Dad took 3rd place in their division and were already strategizing for next years tournament.

It wasn't all about the boys though.... On Thursday night, the ladies were invited to play in a scramble. I was on a team with my sister, my mom and my mom's good friend Jill. We thought we did pretty dang good, but we didn't win. We are convinced that the winning team cheated ;)

Boys do weird things. One of the events of the tournament was a "horse race". There were teams of 4 and they all played together. The teams with the lowest scores moved on. That is about all I know. Mia and I followed behind my Dad and Tyson in a golf cart. It was fun to see so many golfers playing at the same time- and Mia, of course, loved driving the "car".

Mia wanted to "hit the ball". A little golfer in the making!

Hanna and I were so proud of our husbands!

The other highlight of my weekend was this lil guy-
Cole Creighton Reichert.
The first male blood in the Hardin line! Hopefully Tyson and I will have the second....

So precious

Mia and her friend Cooper
He is the grandson of Dean and Jill, my parents good friends.

These two got wild and crazy after dinner one night. Cooper ended up with no diaper on.

I hope his mom doesn't care that I posted this! We were all laughing so hard. He is the cutest little boy on earth!!

Just a few funny picutes of my nutball.

So hard to say goodbye!

Tyson's brother, Tommy, and his family moved to Texas this weekend. They have great things ahead of them in Texas but we are going to miss having them here. Tyson is really close with his siblings and none of them have ever moved out of Utah. I think it will be hard for Tyson to get use to. I just adore this family and I am going to miss them too. Mia talks about Jake and Ellie all the time. They were such good cousins to her.
We will miss you guys dearly!

Tommy, Ashely, Ellie and Jake

Ellie was such a little mommy to Mia. She loved to take care of her.

Jake was Mia's protector. We hope he is back by the time she is in highschool!

Run. Drive. Sleep? Repeat.

Ragnar 2010
Well, I did it again.... a 188 mile relay race from Logan to Park City. This year I ran the race with mostly work friends on team "RUN PRN". No, that is not team "Run Porn" as it looks like. "PRN" means "as needed" in medical lingo. I think there were only a few people that understood our team name, but we thought it was pretty clever.

I was in Van #1 again this year, but I ran a different leg than I ran last year. I felt like I really pushed my legs to the limits and I don't think I have ever been as sore as I was after the race. My first leg was almost 8 miles, mostly down a dirt road. I was a dusty, hot mess. My second leg was UP the backside of East Canyon and was a little over 8 miles... uphill. Thankfully it was 9pm or so I didn't have to fight the heat. I would much rather run uphill than down- crazy, I know.

After those 2 legs, my legs were so sore I could barely walk. My last leg was 3 miles and I hobbled through it. It was my goal not to walk and I didn't, but my running wasn't pretty! This year, like last year, I questioned myself why I was doing this to my body. But, in the end, it is an experience like no other and I want to do it again next year!

Van #1 rocks!

The handoff- DONE!

Another cute work friend came to support us and made us this sign. Poor Suzy was about to die after her second leg. This is how we all felt by the end.

The race ended in Park City at the Canyons Resort. Tyson and Mia came up to celebrate.
